About Griffen Kunko:

Griffen is a teaching professional that has been a student of the game for 20 years. He grew up in a small town in New Mexico where they are known more for their dairy cows than their golf. As most instructors do, Griffen realized his passion for golf on the playing side, competing and winning junior tournaments across the southern part of New Mexico at a young age. After high school he furthered his playing career and accepted a scholarship to play for Eastern Arizona Community College. In his freshman year, he was ranked in the top 12 among community colleges across the country – his accolades at the collegiate level also include making all-district twice. After playing college golf, Griffen entered the PGA as an apprentice. While giving lessons, running junior clinics, and assisting his alma mater’s college golf team, Griffen found his desire in helping people enjoy the sport of golf as much as he did. Griffen has pursued many opportunities to continue to grow the game through teaching and in improving his own game, competing in PGA sanctioned events and professional tournaments at the
state level.

Griffen’s approach to instruction is ever-evolving, his passion for the game is an asset in
discovering solutions for golfers of all skill levels. Griffen has coached aspiring professionals, College players, State level high school athletes, and beginning golfers of all ages. While fundamentals are the foundation of every great golf swing, Griffen tailors his lessons for the individual who is still finding and honing their swing. Griffen’s key philosophy is to help the golfer understand their game at a level that allows them to be comfortable making adjustments in technique and feel. This then grants the golfer the freedom and confidence to own their game and provides them with the tools needed to play their best rounds.
